    Hi Craig,

I noticed that you write about hip-hop and funk artists for Style Weekly, so I thought I’d introduce myself now for future reference.

I’m reaching out to find out what kind of stories and features you’re looking to write so I don’t waste your time when sending pitches later on. I’m sure timely events work best, but you may also be looking to post stories on local musicians.

I’m a DJ by the name of 8-Bit Mullet. I currently host house parties and intend to put on an event for charity in the next year. There’s a growing scene for chiptune and video game remixes in Richmond that’s pretty unique, some of which is hip-hop and funk-inspired.

Anyway, just thought I’d say hello now and get clear on any ideas or preferences you might have for stories in 2016.

    Best wishes,
